Join us for our second annual Pasifika and Asian American Community Science Night! This family friendly event welcomes visitors of all ages for a night of museum exploring, science demos, lectures, and cultural entertainment. All are welcome!

Featuring music, science demonstrations, planetarium shows, access to our summer exhibits, Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family, Playing With Light, and more.

Community Science Night Tickets $10 Adults, $8 Youth/Seniors | Ticket includes all activities. OMSI members receive a 15% discount

Activities Happening All Night

Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family | This exhibition brings the latest tyrannosaur discoveries to life, overturning our preconceptions about these ferocious predators.

 

Playing with Light | Manipulate 20,000 LEDs, shake your own hand, paint with light, bounce laser beams, freeze your shadow, and so much more. Immerse yourself in the technology and wonders of light.

 

OMSI Photo Booth | Take photos, gifs, and boomerangs that you can send to your phone or email!

Science Demonstrations

Flying Robots: Sound and Safety | Robots and AI are taking over the world. How can we ensure that robots like drones operate safely with humans and the environment? Can sound be a tool that helps us? Learn more with roboticist Nicole Fronda from OSU!

You Taste What You Smell: Why Does Smell Matter? | Our taste and smell are fascinating interconnected senses. Find out and learn more with health scientist Jackie Leung from Oregon State University!

Teen Tech Center
6:00 – 8:00 PM |  Just for ages 13-18, where you can create alongside mentors and other teens to explore your own ideas, develop skills, and express yourself through technology.

 

Science Playground
6:00 – 8:00 PM | In this Hall young scientist build skills like asking questions, experimenting, taking risks, and sharing ideas with others. Each area is designed for children ages birth through 6 and their families to practice science skills.
