Naomi Fitter, Producer

Producer Naomi Fitter is a professor by day, comedian by night. She escaped from Ohio at the age of 22, and her soothing midwestern voice has been described as “sexy,” “librarian-like,” and “nearly inaudible.” She has worked alongside greats like Aparna Nancherla, Steve Hofstetter, Don McMillan, Laurie Kilmartin, and Whitney Cummings and performed in the All Jane Comedy Festival. Naomi runs her shows Naughty but Nerdy and STEM Cabaret all over the West Coast, and she has been recently featured on the NPR-distributed show Live Wire with Luke Burbank and the Dork Forest with Jackie Kashian. Her comedy was also featured in TIME Magazine.

Naomi’s autonomous robotic stand-up comedian, Jon the Robot, cannot pass a captcha challenge, but he does hope to capture your heart. Jon the Robot has been featured by NPR and TIME Magazine.

Chet Udell

Chet Udell is a professor by day, performer by night. He joins us as an international and national award-winning electronic instrument designer, performer, and composer. His works have been recognized with ASCAP-SEAMUS 1st prize, Best-Performance at the GA Tech New Instrument Competition, and world-finalist in international composition and performance competitions including Prix Destellos and Sound in Space. We are thrilled to have him on the show!

Sarah Hagen

Sarah Hagen is a mostly normal person with an irritating obsession with mathematics. In an act of wild desperation, she began moonlighting as a stand-up comedian with the express purpose of incorporating mathematics into comedy. Seven years later, she is a fixture of the northwest comedy scene and co-producer of touring STEM vaudeville shows and nerdy comedy shows that run all over the West Coast. She holds a PhD in mathematics and is a former OMSI Science Communication Fellow. If you loved Sarah’s hour on ancient Greek astronomy, you’ll delight in her return with a set of tight, math-themed nerdy stand-up.

Isaac Paris

Isaac Paris is a veteran of large music festivals and tiny dingy bars and has performed in both the fiercely competitive New York city comedy scene and the welcoming world of public libraries and schools. Kind, mature ladies in pink hats tell him he should be on Carson. He doesn’t have the heart to tell them that’s impossible without a time machine. Using hand-drawn images to accentuate his mad drawing skills, often with themes of nerddom and science, Isaac’s performance is an old-school multimedia presentation: a retro vaudeville act flipped on its head.
