Oregon’s forests are part of who we are—and what we’re building for the future. But as catastrophic wildfires grow more intense and forests go unmanaged, the stakes are getting higher. For the Trees is a 29-minute 360° film that takes you deep into Oregon’s timberlands to explore how sustainable forestry can support clean water, healthy wildlife habitat, renewable materials and access to the outdoors. ABOUT THE FILM MAKERS:
For the Trees was produced by 360 Labs, an Oregon-based production company specializing in immersive VR and full dome video. Founders Matt Rowell and Thomas Hayden created 360 Labs with a mission to capture the world’s most breathtaking natural places and bring them to VR, making them accessible to everyone.
Their first venture into narrative VR was “as it is”, a Grand Canyon documentary that highlights a grassroots Indigenous movement to prevent commercial development at the confluence of the Greater and Little Colorado Rivers. 360 Labs is also recognized for its award-winning Oregon-based VR short films, including Tree Huggers, Through Darcelle’s Eyes, and The Fire in Our Backyard.

OMSI has a new parking system via the mobile parking app, Parking Kitty, to create an easier and more streamlined experience for our visitors. OMSI parking will cost $5 + fees for 2 hours or $8 + fees for all day parking. Parking is $2 + fees for after-hours events.
