Curiosity Kids programs at OMSI allow children ages 3-5 years old, along with their families, to explore early science and engineering concepts. These bilingual programs are designed to build STEAM skills and nurture the special connection between adults and children.
We hope you and your curious kids will join our stellar educators to experiment, ask questions, and build amazing structures!
Available Curiosity Kids programs
Choose from two different programs focused on STEAM learning. Each Curiosity Kids begins with a welcome and a read-aloud. The classes include whole group activities and hands-on science activities to do with your littlest learners!
Become a Nature Detective
Naturalists study clues left by animals! Curious Kids in this class will work and play with their families to observe, describe, and gather evidence to understand which animals left behind tracks, hair, scat, and more!

Design and Discover
Engineers are problem solvers! Curious Kids in this class will work with their families to build, test, design, and improve across a variety of playful hands-on challenges.
Dates: April 4 (Sold Out), May 2 (Sold Out), May 30 (Sold Out), June 13, July 4, July 25, and August 15
Program Details
What’s Included
A Curiosity Kids program is an hour-long hands-on experience. Same-day general admission is included in your final checkout price. (Members and Arts for All participants can apply discounts at checkout).
Bilingual Program
Each one-hour Curiosity Kids program is delivered bilingually in English and Spanish. All program materials are also available in English and Spanish.
Family Learning
Curiosity Kids programs are designed for children ages 3-5 and their families. Older siblings are welcome to participate with the purchase of a ticket. Each class can accommodate up to 20 people.

Yes. Children ages 2 and under are welcome to attend with their families but all activities are designed for ages 3-5 and may not be appropriate for younger children.
No, we expect that at least one adult (18+) remains in the room and actively facilitates the child(ren) in their group.
We recommend no more than three children attend with each adult.
Groups/families are welcome to buy out a class. We ask that you ensure at least one adult (18+) per three children can attend the entire program.
No. Curiosity Kids programs take place in a space that is included in General Admission. Accessing this space requires General Admission, which may be discounted for OMSI members and Arts for All participants.
