OMSI Supports the Community
This has been a challenging year, with even more unknowns ahead. In these uncertain times, OMSI continues to keep our community at the heart of it all.
Becoming an OMSI member now or making a donation is more important than you may realize—with your help, we can continue to support our entire community through equitable access to science education.
Support OMSI, Support Your Community
Even without a global pandemic, funding plays a crucial role in our ability to fulfill our mission of engaging the community across the Pacific Northwest with science learning and helping them build skills to make evidence-based decisions.
As a non-profit organization, OMSI does not receive state or federal funds for operating expenses—yet our need is greater than ever. Back in March, we had to close our doors to the public, and like so many nonprofits across our city and state, OMSI is now facing a significant revenue shortfall.
Even after partially reopening the museum in June, we anticipate a significant revenue loss over the next year alone, and it is increasingly apparent we'll be operating at around 50% of our capacity for the next 12 to 18 months.
But you can help.
Support OMSI with a Membership
OMSI members play a crucial role in fulfilling our mission of engaging the community with science learning and helping build skills to make evidence-based decisions.
Because OMSI is a self-sustaining non-profit, earning revenue through memberships means we can continue to provide educational opportunities even during these uncertain times.
Support OMSI with a Donation
