A Neighborhood Reimagined
4-Day Teen Workshop Series
August 17 – 20 | 1:30pm – 3:30 pm
Admission: $40| OMSI Members Receive 15% off | Teen Only Event Ages 13 – 18
Over four two-hour sessions, participants will work with OMSI instructors to use TinkerCAD to build a shared 3D neighborhood that evolves with each session. Starting with the foundations of physical space and expanding into infrastructure, materials, and social systems, teens will learn how these layers interact to influence community well-being.
Along the way, they’ll examine examples of how design impacts access, health, and belonging — locally and globally — and explore innovative solutions such as sustainable materials and community-based planning.
The series culminates in a digital showcase of their collective Future Neighborhood, highlighting the creativity, systems thinking, and imagination of Afrofuturist design.
