Whether you’re curious about volunteering, building job-like skills, or working with kids at camp, OMSI has exciting opportunities for teens. Become a volunteer and inspire others while learning something new, explore your future with the Career Pathways program and get a paid internship through our Teen Tech Center, or step into a leadership role as a camp counselor at either overnight or day camps. Teen Tech Center
The Best Buy Teen Tech Center is a safe out-of-school spot for ages 13-18, where you can create alongside mentors and other teens to explore your own ideas, develop skills, and express yourself through technology.
Seasonal Opportunities
Best Buy Career Pathways Program
Join the Best Buy Teen Tech Career Pathways program and take part in career exploration for high school students. Develop soft skills for the workforce while exploring STEAM careers. In the Career Pathways program at OMSI high school participants get the opportunity to secure a paid summer internship that aligns with their future career interests and goals. Applicants must be 16-19 years old and be able to make a year-long commitment to the program.

Join OMSI Outdoors at one of our two overnight camps. Camp Gray on the Oregon Coast or Camp Hancock in the desert as a camp counselor.
Overnight camps not your style? Join an OMSI day camp as a counselor! OMSI provides day camps for children of all ages in STEAM topics of all kinds. Day camps take place at the museum on SE Water Avenue, at the Oregon Zoo, and at Tamarack Elementary School.
