March 2, 2025 @ 2:00pm

FREE WITH OMSI ADMISSION TICKET, FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED

As part of OMSI’s $5 Days in March, the Tualatin Valley Symphony will be playing a family concert in the auditorium starting at 2:00pm. This concert is free with your OMSI admission, but seating is limited and first come first served – so please arrive early to ensure a seat!

The Tualatin Valley Symphony is a community orchestra, dedicated to making high-quality live orchestra performances available and enjoyable for everyone in SW Portland, Oregon and nearby cities in the Tualatin Valley.  Their dedicated performers live in Tigard, Tualatin, and throughout the Portland area, and range from talented young amateurs to experienced professionals.

The members of Tualatin Valley Symphony come together for the joy of sharing great music with each other and their audience.  Symphony members donate their time and energy so that a live orchestral music experience is available to everyone, at a price anyone can afford.

The Tualatin Valley Symphony’s annual family concert brings fun symphonic music to the young and old alike!

For this year’s family concert, the symphony will perform the following:

The Sea Hawk, by Korngold
Tone Poem (world premiere!), by Raymond Doerr
The Remarkable Farkle McBride (narrated), by Bill Elliot
Quasar concerto for violin and orchestra (world premiere!), by Nicole Buetti
Harry Potter Theme, by John Williams
