Ciencias Night

Join us for our third annual Ciencias Night! This family friendly event welcomes visitors of all ages for a night of museum exploring, science demos, lectures, and cultural entertainment. All are welcome!

Featuring music, science demonstrations, planetarium shows, access to our featured exhibit, Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family, a last chance to see the exhibit Staying Alive: Defenses of the Animal Kingdom, Science Playground will be open for the little ones and we will have activities for all ages.

Ciencias Night Tickets: $10 Adults, $8 Youth/Seniors | Ticket includes ALL activities. OMSI members receive a 15% discount.

Activities Happening All Night

Tyrannosaurs – Meet the Family | The exhibition explores the most feared and revered of all dinosaurs in new and different ways.


Staying Alive: Defenses of the Animal Kingdom | Explore how animals use tough armor, powerful venom and poison, sneaky camouflage and mimicry, and stunning speed and sound to fend off, evade and trick predators.


OMSI Photo Booth | Take a photo to remember the fun you had at OMSI.

Science Demonstrations

Electromagnetic Memory | Sabrina Gonzalez Pasterski is a physicst that has researched how to use electromagnetics to create memory. Come explore a bit about how that works.

See the Levels Rise | Nicole Hernandez Hammer is a biologist who studies the effects of climate change on sea levels. Let’s learn a bit about her research.

Hydrogen Balloons | Witness the explosive power of Hydrogen gas.

Cloudsplosion | See an instant cloud form with liquid Nitrogen.

Food + Beverage

The Empirical Cafe will be open from 6-9pm for snacks and drinks. We will also have Romero’s Kitchen and Sarah’s Tamales on the front plaza!

Our Empirical Cafe will be open and we will have 2 food carts onsite as well.

No, parking will be free for this event.
