ABOUT THE EVENT:

Event tickets are $29 adults, $27 seniors, and $25 youth and include movie snacks, a beverage (either alcoholic or non-alcoholic), and door prizes. Each attendee will also receive a pass for free museum admission on a future date.

OMSI Members receive $5 off admission.

Doors for the screening and talk by Jeff VanderMeer open at 6:15 pm.


ABOUT THE FILM:

Alex Garland's Annihilation– based on Jeff VanderMeer's novel of the same name – is a visually stunning sci-fi tale starring Natalie Portman as Lena, a cellular biologist and former soldier whose husband suddenly returns from a mysterious and expanding region known as "the Shimmer" after having been missing for a year. Determined to learn what happened and how to stop the growing phenomenon, Lena joins a scientific expedition to the area where she and the rest of her team encounter mutated landscapes and animals while realizing that they themselves are being altered in bizarre ways.
