Planetarium Concert: Through the Portal

APR 28, 2018 | 5PM and 7PM

Join us under the stars for an epic live concert experience in the Kendall Planetarium!

Experience a musical performance like no other with Through the Portal - the new instrumental album written by harpist and multi-instrumentalist David Helfand and violist Justin Lader set to full dome space-themed visualizations under our Kendall Planetarium dome. After three sold out shows during Through the Portal's world premiere last year in Eugene, David and Justin are thrilled to make their Portland debut.

Through the Portal is an epic space music opus that is dedicated to loved ones who have passed on and explores the deep mysteries of life. The album features the haunting, angelic sounds of the mellotron, along with keyboards, harp, viola, guitar and percussion. This concert will feature a live performance of the album in its entirety with immersive full dome visualizations of planets, nebulae, and galaxies and lasers plus classical guitar by Peter Thomas.
