Join us for Sharktoberfest, a jaw-some 21+ event combining craft brews and cutting-edge shark science!

Whether you’re a beer enthusiast or a science geek, this night is guaranteed to make a splash. You’ll even have the chance to meet amazing shark scientists—some flying in straight from filming Shark Week to chat about Oregon sharks.

Local Portland Joy Creator Mike Bennett will be doing a live painting!

All proceeds go directly to supporting shark research.

Ticketing Information:

Sharktoberfest General Admission | $60
Admission will include:

  • Beer/Wine Samples
  • Food
  • Souvenir Glass

Sharktoberfest General Admission + T-shirt| $80
Include all of the above, plus a t-shirt!

Sharktoberfest Non Drinking Admission | $45
One NON DRINKING ticket for admission to Sharktoberfest event.

OMSI Members receive $10 off the ticket price.

For the OMSI Member discount rate you will need to show membership documentation at the door. There is a limit of TWO discounted tickets per OMSI membership. Discount will be applied at checkout.

Is this event 21 and over only?

Yes, you must be 21+ to attend. Minors are not allowed. Everyone must present a physical copy of a valid government issued ID.

Is there any food and beverage at this event?

There will be small bites provided at the event. OMSI’s Empirical Cafe and Theory restaurant will be closed.

Do I have to pay for parking?

Yes, parking is $2 for after-hours events.
