Mar 21, 7-9PM | Doors @ 6PM | Advance tickets recommended; $5 suggested donation

As a physicist, aspiring astronaut, and the reigning Miss Oregon USA, Manju Bangalore will share her hands-on experiences being trained and qualified to one day conduct research in space. Through her postgraduate program with the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences, she is studying noctilucent clouds and how they serve as indicators of human-caused climate change, testing how we menstruate in space, and even learning safe post-landing egress spacecraft operations. Join us as we learn what it's like to journey to the stars!

Manju is a physicist, actor, model, nonprofit founder, and the reigning Miss Oregon USA. Since dreaming about becoming an astronaut when she was a child, Manju has worked at two NASA centers and in the White House. She is now enrolled in a postgraduate program training her to go to space one day. In addition to her scientific accomplishments, her acting and modeling careers have taken her from working with Beyoncé to shooting with Sports Illustrated. She is most inspired by the work her nonprofit does: operationperiod.org
