If you have the guts, so do we—squid guts that is! Visitors will use proper dissection techniques to explore the insides of a squid and discover firsthand how the beak, ink sac and other adaptations help this odd, underwater organism survive.
One squid per ticket, maximum two people per ticket.
NOTE: Squid can cause allergic reactions in those with seafood and shellfish allergies. We will provide gloves and goggles, if needed.

Explore the wonderful world of cheese making! We’ll learn the art and science of making cow’s milk fresh mozzarella cheese in this class. Participants will sample a variety of cheeses, make their own mozzarella, and learn about several types of fresh cheeses to make at home.

Make soap from scratch to take home while learning about the awesome chemistry of soap molecules! Participants must wear clothing that completely covers their arms, legs, and feet (no sandals or open-toed shoes) as we will be working with caustic substances.

Cider drinking is a lost American tradition, recapture it here and learn how to make your own! Participants will explore the history and science of cider, as well as learn the steps to turning a half gallon of apple juice from the store into delicious hard cider to drink at home. Ages 21+, one participant per ticket. General Admission is not included in the price of the ticket.
Bitters demystified! Learn how to make and use bitters in this hands-on workshop. This class will cover the history and science of bitters as well as basic formulas, tools, and processes to make bitter tinctures at home. Participants will have the opportunity to do tastings of various commercial bitters brands, as well as 36+ individual tinctures, and will blend two batchs of bitters to take home.
