Bitters demystified! Learn how to make and use bitters in this hands-on workshop. This class will cover the history of bitters as well as basic formulas, tools, and processes to make bitter tinctures at home. Participants will have the opportunity to do tastings of different bitters combinations, and will blend their own batch of bitters to take home.

Ever wonder what the difference is between a hybrid, heirloom and GMO plant? Why are some carrots purple? What’s a meyer lemon or a kalette? In this lab, we’ll explore questions around science and technology in the modern food world. Participants will taste test and experiment with some of these amazing technologies and bring home their own grafted vegetable plant.
